ColeJenest & Stone is providing civil engineering and landscape architectural services for the Levine Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center. 

The $85 million hospital is slated to open in 2007 and will have a dedicated children’s hospital entrance and registration. 

The entrance will open to a breathtaking atrium that will be inviting to children of all ages. 

The children’s hospital will have connections to the main hospital and include 234  total beds (185 licensed intensive care, progressive care and acute care beds; 13 licensed pediatric rehabilitation beds; 16 observation beds; 20 hospital beds).

Levine Children’s Hospital was designed with the entire family’s needs in mind, which is seen with the larger rooms that encourage parents to stay overnight with their child and increased family space for taking a break or visiting.
