Morgan Square
Spartanburg, South Carolina

As the lead firm for a team of consultants, ColeJenest & Stone prepared an urban open space and streetscape master plan for historic Morgan Square in the heart of downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The plan included the reorganization of vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns, the incorporation of outdoor seating, a fountain, special paving, planting and a pavilion. 

The Square is surrounded by existing retail, restaurants and offices.  The plan was unanimously approved by the City of Spartanburg City Council. 

ColeJenest & Stone also provided site Construction Documents for implementation of the project and studied the feasibility of an art program for the square.
